    Steamoji (Co-Founder, Investor, Growth Advisor, 2018-)

    Build to Solve. The fastest growing STEM/STEAM education franchise in North America as of 2024

    Steamoji is a maker academy for kids ages 5-14 that trains builders, makers, inventors, and entrepreneurs. Steamoji provides a place for children to create a sense of meaning and master future-facing skills. As of June 2024, we have 30 locations sold, 18 open, and the rest are projected to open in 2024.

     

    As a co-founder, I developed Steamoji's brand and designed our location-based, new member acquisition program that delivers new franchisee investors to 60 monthly members break even in less than 4 months after opening.

    Magnet (Co-Founder, 2015-2019)

    A Digital Layer for Physical Spaces. A customer engagement platform designed with location-aware technologies.

    Magnet helped brands reduce wait times, increase revenue and get a better understanding of their customers with detailed location aware analytics, enabled by beacons and the unique identity in your phone.

     

    As a co-founder, I was responsible for developing our initial clients (AEG/Mercedes-Benz Arena, Coca-Cola) for pilots. The co=founders ultimately decided this opportunity was not as promising as developing locations oursevles, with Steamoji.

    Darwin Marketing (Co-Founder, Investor, CEO, exit 2016)

    China's Top Performance Marketing & SEO Brand. Using data to drive marketing optimization for leading brands in China

    Based in Shanghai, China, I co-founded and led Darwin Marketing's team of 100+ professionals. We provided advertising and technology solutions for the rapidly growing paid, owned and earned communications market in mainland China. The business was acquired by iProspect / Dentsu Aegis in 2016.

     

    We grew Sephora's ECOM bussiness from zero dollars to the leading multichannel seller of cosmetics in China from 2008-2016. We published the most well-known and high trafficked SEO blog in Simplified Chinese and we were the first international Baidu API partner for paid search bid management,

     

    We worked closely with major Chinese publishers Baidu Search, Alibaba (TMall ECOM), TenCent (WeChat Social) and many smaller publishers to optimize ECOM, paid search, organic search (SEO), social media and O2O campaigns for high performing Brands (Gucci, Sephora, Dell, China Mobile, etc.)
